Halmstad Golfarena is a golf facility, a training and wellness center, a conference and event venue, a hotel, café, and restaurant that has collaborated with us for several years. Previously, we contributed to furnishing the Golfarena’s indoor hall with acoustic solutions, including a ceiling clad in long panels of sound absorbers wrapped in dark gray fabric. Along the absorbers run LED strips that can be adjusted to mimic, for example, twilight or display various colors for a more creative expression.
In addition to designing the golf hall, we also had the pleasure of transforming a traditional conference space into something entirely new. By combining two smaller rooms, we created Svärjarehålan – a bright, inviting conference room with the feeling of a living room and a view of both the sea and the driving range.
The goal was to create a flexible meeting environment with a wow factor, where participants could both think big and relax. With a combination of clean material choices, generous natural light, and access to a private terrace, Svärjarehålan is not just a meeting room – it’s a place for fresh perspectives.
Another part of the project was to connect the conference room with the newly opened event space GolfCorner by Cobra. The idea: to make it easy for groups to shift between focus and activity. Here, meeting participants – whether they play golf or not – can enjoy a revitalizing break.
The project incorporates many elements of the club of sport concept – seating, sound absorbers, plants, and lighting. In the ceiling, we installed the unique AddOn Ceiling profile system combined with the Tiles ceiling panel – a simple and stylish way to design an otherwise dull ceiling. Hanging from the ceiling is Off the Grid, sound-absorbing panels with beautiful prints decorate the walls, and planters with artificial greenery on the floor add to the welcoming atmosphere. For the conference chair, the comfortable Apollo chair from Scan Sorlie was chosen. Guests are now able to enjoy a truly pleasant conference experience.
The result has been warmly received. The first guests gave it two thumbs up and quickly booked their next meeting. And that’s exactly the reaction we aimed for – to create environments people want to return to.
