We at Club of Sport had the pleasure of transforming a traditional conference space into something entirely new at Halmstad Golfarena. By combining two smaller rooms, we created Svärjarehålan – a bright and inviting conference room with the feel of a living room and views of both the sea and the driving range.
We had previously worked on furnishing the golf arena’s indoor hall with acoustic solutions to create the best possible sound environment. This time, however, the focus was on upgrading the conference facilities. The goal was to create a flexible meeting space with a wow factor – a place where participants can both think big and breathe out. With a combination of sleek material choices, generous natural light, and access to a private terrace, Svärjarehålan is not just a room for meetings – it’s a space for new perspectives.
Another part of the project involved connecting the conference room to the newly opened event area, GolfCorner by Cobra. The idea: to make it easy for groups to shift between focus and activity. Here, meeting participants – whether they play golf or not – can enjoy a break that recharges their energy.
The project includes many aspects of the Club of Sport concept, such as seating, sound absorbers, plants, and lighting. The ceiling features the unique AddOn Ceiling profile system combined with the Tiles ceiling panel – a simple and stylish way to upgrade an otherwise dull ceiling. Hanging from the ceiling is Off the Grid, while the walls are adorned with beautifully printed sound absorbers, and on the floor are pots with artificial plants that further enhance the atmosphere. For conference seating, the comfortable Apollo chair from Scan Sorlie was chosen, ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant meeting experience.
The result was warmly received. The first guests gave it two thumbs up and quickly booked their next meeting. And that’s exactly the kind of reaction we aim for – to create spaces people want to return to.
