Söndrumshallen is located in Halmstad and operates as an economic association. Over the years, this hall has nurtured many young individuals, some of whom have blossomed into real stars, such as Sofia Arvidsson, as seen in one of the pictures. Sofia is perhaps best known as a tennis player but has actually won Swedish Championship gold in no less than three sports: table tennis, tennis, and most recently, paddle tennis.
What makes Söndrumshallen unique is the constant buzz and influx of participants ranging from 3 to 100 years old. At Söndrumshallen, people engage in gymnastics and play tennis, squash, badminton, and paddle tennis. Another unique feature is that regardless of the sport, participants are met with a pleasant acoustic environment, as Acoustic Environment, a part of Götessons Design Group, has been contracted to install sound absorbers in all halls. Initially, a test was conducted with absorbers on one of the tennis courts, which quickly became the most popular to book, especially among tennis coaches. The results were so favorable that the same concept was implemented for all courts.
It’s not just the courts that have received an upgrade; many ancillary areas have also been enhanced, such as the area around the center court in the paddle tennis hall. Here, seating furniture, poufs, and plants are 100% recycled products.
Götessons Design Group also sponsors three promising young paddle tennis players: Juni Sjöland, Smilla Ho, and Ella Ho from Halmstad Padelclub, as you can see in the pictures. Their home arena is indeed Söndrumshallen.
